Complete And Utter Insanity

The United States House Of Representatives has voted to impeach Joe Biden. Dana Milbank writes:

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) rose in the House Tuesday evening after the last vote. “For what purpose does the gentlewoman from Colorado seek recognition?” asked the presiding officer, Rep. Russell Fry (R-S.C.).

The gentlewoman sought recognition to unveil a parliamentary maneuver that would force a vote within 48 hours on H. Res. 503, “Impeaching Joseph R. Biden Jr., president of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors.”

No impeachment proceedings. No investigation. No evidence. No crimes. Not so much as parking ticket. Just a willy-nilly, snap vote to impeach the president, because Boebert dislikes Biden’s immigration policies. In her mind, “President Biden has intentionally facilitated a complete and total invasion at the southern border,” she charged on the House floor.

At this, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) flew into a fit of jealousy because Boebert had thought to use the maneuver (called a “privileged resolution”) to force an impeachment vote before Greene got a vote on her articles of impeachment against Biden. Boebert stole her impeachment articles, Greene whined to reporters, calling Boebert that name that every kindergartner fears: “Copycat.”

Congresswoman Jewish Space Lasers then confronted Boebert on the House floor and called her a “little b----” who “copied my articles of impeachment,” according to a Daily Beast account that Greene confirmed.

But Boebert was unmoved — because she’s on a mission from God. She filed her impeachment resolution because “I am directed and led by Him … by the spirit of God,” she told the evangelical Victory Channel.

God could not be reached for comment.

The Republicans then voted to send the resolution to two House committees to investigate Biden. They've got the process ass-backward. But, more importantly, they have exposed themselves as the Party of Complete and Utter Insanity.

I would have thought that even Republicans of the extreme right probably saw the California bush fires as a problem of drought conditions, heat waves, not enough fire teams, destruction of the environment and accidents. The probability of the fires being intentionally set by a Jewish space laser, or any other QAnon conspiracy, is remote.

Unfortunately, Hels, the probability that Republicans will drift closer to reality is also remote.

Boebert and Greene are off the wall bat poop nuts. There are too many names to list that fit this description in the Republican Party.
Greene should let her hair go back to the colour of her roots. She is giving blondes a bad name

Witch hunt! Only this time it's the witches who are doing the hunting.

Blondes of the world unite! Tell Greene to let her hair grow back to it’s natural colour. She is giving you a very bad name. DJF

This leaves some of our politicians looking positively sane.

BTW, I see Blaine Higgs in NB has lost another cabinet minister. Rather careless of him.

Our two countries just spent $Million$ on a phony search for some ultra-rich risk-takers in their under-spec submarine while we criminalize the rescue of vulnerable poor people.
It helps to have additional-distraction-spectacles like these Bobbsey-twits and their fellow travelers.

'Fill the zone with shit'.

You're right, Anon. Boebert and Greene are just two of the crazies. Please initial your next comment.

They're related to the witches in Macbeth, Cap. Something wicked this way comes.

Unfortunately, DJF, Greene makes the stereotype of the blonde bimbo believable.

We've got our own versions of Boebert and Greene, jrk.

Boebert and Greene illustrate just how upside down our priorities are, PoV.

Usually bar room cat fights are eventually stopped by the onlookers!
Not so in this case.
Like so much in todays politics our ambitions lay aside the Titanic.

As Dan Ackroyd said in the movie, Lorne, they're doodles.

The Daily Beast's aarticle on the matter of the sqabbling toddlers was the first thing I read this morning and it cheered me up considerably! The not so Freedom Caucus may find themselves out of office.

So Biden is at fault that people are leaving other countries and accessing the U.S.A. via their southern border. Gee wonder how that happened. As I recall that has been going on for decades through Republican and Democratic presidents. These Republicans have no one to blame but their own. South America's business might not be in the shape they are today had they not meddled in their affairs. A lot of the carry on is simply because these republicans are racist.
Crooks and Liars had a post up, at least I think it was them, advising that many of the Republican "nut jobs" in the State of Virginia who are currently in the State Leg. were primaried out. One was refered to as Trump in high heels.

I'm waiting for Jim Jordan and McCarthy to start duking it out.

That possibility may not be far off, e.a.f.
