At some point in the future, historians will note that Bill C-38 -- the Harper government's four hundred and twenty page page Budget Implementation Bill -- marked the beginning of the end. They will note that the bill sowed the seeds of revolt across the country.
They will write about how the Conservatives stupidly alienated Quebec and allowed the NDP to establish a base in that province. They will write about how they destroyed their beach head in Ontario by focusing on western oil and eviscerating central Canada's manufacturing base. They will write about first nations' active opposition to the Keystone and Northern Gateway pipelines -- and to British Columbians' determination to keep their interior and their coastline sludge free.
The will write about how, under the mantra of "the economy," the Conservatives tried to accomplish a social revolution -- until Canadian seniors revolted and decided that Bob Rae was right when he said that Canadian democracy suffered "from dictatorial tendencies."
They will write that the Conservatives should have known better -- that they should have known how to bend. But, led my an anal retentive prime minister -- who departed the scene before their inevitable defeat -- they doomed themselves and their party to a western rump. They will write that, like the old Social Credit Party, from whom the Conservatives had sprung, they returned to their western bunker.
They will quote Nathan Cullen, who said, “Both in Parliament, and, in particular, outside, we will be looking at ways to bring as many Canadians to the table as possible, which is the opposite initiative to that coming from government.” And they will point to Marc Garneau who said, “Ultimately, will we stop the government if they are hell bent for leather on passing this and they are not going to listen to public opinion? No. But we will make it difficult.”
They will write that the opposition parties lost the battle but won the war. They will write that the downfall of the Harper government began with Bill C-38 -- the defining battle.

I believe we are in a multi front, three dimensional 'final battle' right now.. and we are losing.. badly.
Our problem as Canadians is a mistaken belief that we exist in a peaceful democracy, with responsible, competent governments, federal and provincial that stand on guard for us. You know.. that old school idea that's in our national anthem! We don't 'get it' that those who we trust are defending us.. as exemplars, and Canadians.. are trashing everything we stand for.. and letting us know that there's nothing we can do about it.. and it just don't matter that its not what we elected them for..
We must think there is a single 'glowing heart' somewhere in the dark and lost corpoocracy sticking it to us, our land and our environment.. and getting paid to do so, on our dime..! Please give me the name of who it belongs to.. it sure aint Oliver, Harper, Mackay, Hadfield, Baird, Kenney or the Speaker Of The House.. certainly not the bleak poseur that quickly named Our Government, after himself.. and is hard at work on his hockey book.. and trying to change Canada 'so we won't recognize it'.. His words, not mine.. same guy that said he 'will never allow bitumen exports' .. I dunno .. was that a robot uttered that promise. or an alien impostor? I swear it was Stephen Harper.
The current battle will extent into and through the next General Canadian Election.. and if you think 2011 was dirty and fraudulent and currently being covered up and suppressed.. just wait till we get more Harper Government & Harper Party hired, contract American voter technology/services and American boots on the ground up here to help Canadian's figure out who to vote for.. or if the should actually get to vote.
We won't just be in the rainforest or the boreal.. or downstream of the tar sands. We will have to continue to defend Canada from coast to coast.. Pelee Island to the North Pole.. in the media, in our schools, in our communities.. everywhere
The True North aint Strong and Free right now.. just sayin ..

We should not delude ourselves, hairy. These are nasty folks who will stop at nothing -- nothing -- to hold onto power.
The next election -- in so many ways -- will represent a new low in Canadian history. But, if the opposition continues to define the Harperites successfully, they can restore Canadian democracy.
Isn't Harper a Neo-Nazi Reformer of his, Northern Foundation Party from 1989? They said, the skinheads organized this party. Harper fits the profile of a dictator, to a T. Harper is every bit as hateful as, Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini. All of them have the same typo personalities. Harper even has ranting and raving henchmen ministers, as did all the other dictators.
Over half of Canadians did not want Harper as P.M....he knew it, he cheated. Now 2/3 and counting Canadians, still don't want Harper as P.M. Harper and his so called Conservatives are a litany of, lies, deceit, thefts, dirty tactics, dirty politics, and most certainly cheated to win.
Harper started out, with a $13 billion surplus. Harper steals from us, to give to banks, mines, oil and gas corporations, and big wealthy businesses. Harper has no control over all of his thieving ministers, wasting our tax dollars, for their own luxury's.

That's why the opposition parties have to build public support against Harper's agenda, Anon.
The only way Harper will be ousted is by severely weakening his support in Ontario and British Columbia.
