Sealing His Fate

As Americans celebrate their Thanksgiving, it may be hard to see any blessings which Donald Trump is showering on his fellow citizens. But Robin Sears sees several:

Wilmot Collins, an African who became an American, is the first Black and the first African to be elected mayor of this small city. When he had recently arrived and spoke out against racism, his house was smeared: “Go back to Africa, KKK.” He called the police. When they arrived, his neighbours were already washing the painted threat away.
LaToya Cantrell was just elected mayor of New Orleans — the first woman and the first Black woman. She is a transplanted Californian who came to prominence through her post-Katrina rebuilding efforts, defeating a field of 18, including several from prominent Louisiana families.

These kinds of changes are happening throughout the United States:

The triumphs of Collins and Cantrell are a powerful reminder of why American democracy has survived slavery, civil war and rampant political corruption. American voters can and do push back when offered a better choice of leader. And, increasingly, those leaders are younger, more progressive, non-white, women and men.
The Democratic sweep in Virginia was not altogether surprising, but the background of many of the candidates was: the first Asian woman, the first two Latina women, the first trans woman, and the first African-American woman. Across the country, the pattern was repeated: newcomers, especially women and non-white men, successfully challenged establishment candidates.

And the current revulsion against men who assault women goes back to Mr. Trump:

Today, aging white men open their devices with dread, preparing for the shock of the latest stupid man caught behaving stupidly. As revolting as Roy Moore et al are, we must thank Donald Trump for having launched this dramatic sea change in what is acceptable. The silent complicity that greeted Bill Clinton’s transgressions came to a sudden stop, and the trigger for the building roar of anger from newly empowered victims today, was when we saw the infamous Trump Access Hollywood video. So, thank you, Donald.

It's easy to lose track of what is happening when one is greeted every morning with a barrage of self promoting tweets. But make no mistake. Mr. Trump is sealing his fate.

You have summed up much of the reasoning behind preferring Trump to Crooked Clinton

If you read this as an endorsement of Trump, Steve, one of your cylinders has misfired.

The system needed a shock. Trump is crazy current. Trump has opened everyones eyes to the fact you cant find anything in America that is not corrupt to some degree.

Case in point, the once respected NYT and Thomas Friedman are proving once again that they make the news dont report it.

You say Trump is crazy, Steve, and then you take his line on the New York Times. If you're going to be consistent, you can't have it both ways.

Trump can be both crazy and the NYT can be a tool of the Deep State. If Trump did not exist the NYT still has a history of stepping up to the plate in time of deep state need.

I could bring up dozens of times over the past two decades alone the NYT has fallen on its sword.

It has nothing to do with Trump. I would not characterize Trump as crazy, just a old white Republican, who is not afraid to be what he is.

America is now seeing these men naked.

You're into tin hat conspiracy theories, Steve.

Really, I sure hope they find the WMD in Iraq soon. The NYT has repeatedly told us they were there.
Also when the dust settles there will be no proof of any Russian meddling in the US election.
The NYT is breaking its presses with the continual retractions, and CNN is running out of breathless breath reporting opinion as fact.

You're definitely one of Donald's people, Steve. You'll be with him to the end.

Meanwhile Ross K has a link to Marcy Wheel's blog where she points out how the Trump legal team have ham-handily connected themselves to the Flynn investigation. But Steve is too busy concerning himself with the Hilary pedo ring in the basement of a one floor Washington DC pizzeria.

mr perfect

Thanks for the link, perfect. Mueller is closing in. But, for Trump supporters like Steve, it makes no difference.

I am not a Trump supporter I am a truth supporter. I have no doubts Trump is deep in a swamp of icky chum deals likely mostly of the influence and money laundry crime. There is a very good chance and his team are obstructing justice like a wads of diaper wipes clogging up a sewer pipe. This is what Mueller et all are finding, they are not finding collusion with the Russians to steal the election.

What I have been shown no evidence of is that Trump and Putin worked together to defeat Hillary. Its well documented here the big lie the MSM is trying to spin.

When the people who hate Trump realize how they have been manipulated it will be more of a good thing comming from the Trump presidency.

Susan Sarandon a long time leftist also agrees with my position.

Now a year after the election Trump has all but capitulated to the military industrial complex. So in terms of foreign policy they have proven to be tweeldle dumb and tweedle dee.

Again the benefit of this is to awaken the people to the reality of the deep state.
