Like A Hole In The Head

Jason Kenny is quite a piece of work. Two weeks after being elected premier of Alberta, he was in Ontario, speaking to Ontarians. After all, Kenny was born in Oakville. But he's been around the block. Martin Regg Cohn writes:

He has seen politics from different perspectives and provinces; he was born in Ontario, raised in Manitoba, settled in Saskatchewan, moved to Alberta, all the while shifting from the Liberal Party to Reform, the Canadian Alliance, the federal Conservatives, and now Alberta’s United Conservative Party.

He's a political opportunist, who's willing to push the country to the brink to get what he wants:

He wants all Ontarians to know how bad it is: Albertans are so frustrated that they are flirting with separatism as Quebecers once did.
A country that once worried about “Two Solitudes” is now facing several solitudes squabbling on multiple fronts, with Kenney at the locus of loquaciousness — confronting British Columbia, countering Quebec, and condemning Ottawa for either standing in the way of Alberta’s interests, or not standing up for them.

Now, even though he condemned Ford's brother Rob, Doug says he loves doing business with him:

“I can’t even wipe the smile off my face,” Ford said in his Queen’s Park office as he posed with his Alberta visitor. “What a great ally!”

Yep. Canada needs Jason Kenny -- like a hole in the head.

So, it appears that Kenny is not only a grifter, he's a serial drifter as well. Always on the lookout for the next free lunch (at taxpayer's expense, of course).

Although Kenney is presenting himself as the sane and balanced on in his fight against Ottawa, Owen, the picture tells us all we need to know about birds of a feather, doesn't it?

You have the man's number, Lulymay. Let's hope that most Canadians see what you see.

There's lots of heft between the two, Lorne. But there's no vision.

By heft are you talking about their physical size Owen? I think the only comparison I will make is one is truly a Buffoon and the other pretty much a country bumpkin. But it all might be part of the Con.

Regardless of their relative size, zoombats, they are both -- equally -- con men.

.. excuse please.. our salamandery impertinance
.. we are though.. speaking (writing) of Jason the virgin Kenney.. who once lived with his mommy and his daddy? Its also believed he has or had - siblings.. who might now help him 'look after his mommy' ?

At some point did he or did he not - 'leave home' ???
This is a black and white yes/no question.. there's no grey, no shadings or explainings.. its just a very blunt question re 'the leaving of home' .. Now we could banter or dither on that.. but we suspect most of the adults in the room recall when they 'left home' - it kind of an adult step.. in one's life.

Mr Kenney at one point, for a bachelor who lives in Alberta, purchased a condo in Ontario within walking distance of OUR Parliament Building.. near all the eateries.. and a mere cab ride from the party night sites in Hull. His clothes were there, shoes, aspirin.. toothbrush, the 'stuff of life' but where he 'really resided' was in Calgary ????? And so Canadian taxpayers subsidized Mr Kenney (ally of Doug Ford) re his 'principal home' in Calgary.. which he visited several times a year.. and we paid his salary, topped up his gold plated pension, covered his 'going home' return airfare, even his mommy flying in and 'visiting' him in Ontario.. all this so he could return 'home' to a basement in mommy's retirement home.. or get back to his 'secondary residence.. that he owned.. in Ontario ??

Does anyone truly believe Mr Kenney qualified for an Alberta Driver's Licence and provincial Health Card ????? The 'rules' say.. you have to 'live there' .. like 6 months of the year. Did he actually drive illegally in Ontario with such a falseified Alberta Driver's Licence ??? Did he get medical benefits with such falseified ID ???

All excellent questions, sal. If you're looking for integrity, you'll have to look hard to find it in Mr. Kenny.
