After William Barr's performance before the Senate Judiciary Committee and his refusal to show up before the House Judiciary Committee, it's time to hear from Robert Mueller. Eugene Robinson writes:
We need public, no-holds-barred testimony before Congress by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, and we need it now. As we saw Wednesday, trying to get the truth out of Attorney General William P. Barr is like squeezing blood from a stone.
You don’t have to take my word that Barr was dishonest about the Mueller report. Take Mueller’s word, in the letter of complaint he sent to Barr on March 27: “The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusions.”
Mueller’s letter of quiet outrage, which Barr described as “snitty,” suggests that the special counsel’s view of the import of his findings differs substantially from Barr’s. And that is why the nation needs to hear directly from Mueller.
Senator Lindsay Graham has said he's not going to call Mueller to testify before his committee. So it falls upon the House Judiciary Committee to hear from Mueller. Trump will try to stop Mueller's testimony. And the Republican Party will lick Trump's boots.
But Mueller will put the evidence in its proper context. Guess who's really scared?

Nobody's scared. Chuck and Nancy have already taken impeachment off the table. After getting stiffed by Barr, the House committee didn't find him in contempt. In other words, the Dims continue their long-standing tradition of bringing a knife to a gun fight.
Cap
Tis is a Mexican stand off, Cap. The Dems should impeach Trump. And Trump believes that, if they impeach him, he'll win the next election.
