2022 has been a horrific year. The war in Ukraine raged for most of it. The number of deaths from COVID continued to rise. Millions of us continued to believe the most outrageous lies. And all of this has happened as the planet gets hotter.
Will 2023 be better? Let's hope so.

Happy New Year to you and your family, Owen. It would be nice to think that 2023 will provide lewss things to write about, but somehow I doubt that is in the cards.
I suspect that the insanity of our times will continue in 2023, Lorne. Happy New Year.

It's always a good idea to keep your eyes on the horizon, lungta. You never know what's going to come over it. Happy New Year.
This past year did have some "wins". You and other progressive bloggers continued to write and keep us informed or presented another version of events. Its always good to have a view of things which isn't being put out there by the "legacy" press.
There were advances in health care. Scientist have made advances in several areas so we can deal with some diseases with more "success".
This neighbourhood had a whole new crop of babies, future taxpayers of Canada.
The war in Ukraine has been horrific. It has also shown us what people can do when necessary. Many countries took in refugees from Ukraine, people from a lot of countries sent money to assist with the all the things which had to be purchased for refugees and to fight that war.
Will 2023 be better? Don't know but we can hope and work towards a better year for 2023.
